i am busy writing my final exams for my degree....it's not as fun as it sounds! and since my boyfriend has been busy with exams too we have hardly seen eachother over the last few weeks. now he has finished exams and gone out of town with my parents, because they are fixing up our beach house and needed his help. so now that i am home alone i am having a little lonely party

I did a photoshoot with a friend of mine a couple of months ago
it was super fun, another friend of ours style the shoot and she is pretty amazing.
her fashion sense is basically everything i dream of wearing when im big and brave
we took a lot of the shots in the nature reserve around my uni campus, which was beautiful
but also funny because all these random guys kept driving past

....anyway, these are some of the photos....they make me dream big and beautiful things!

Oh my golly gosh i just absolutely love this stuff. I have known about Dear Rae for a while now, but her latest stuff is just made especially for my heart. i think i need to start randomly sengin my boyfriend links to her website. hehe.

but for now, i will just hope that dear angie from Lucky Pony will pick my name in her latest competition :)

lately i have been very interested in going on a camper van trip

i just like the idea of driving down pretty roads and parking anywhere to sleep and eat

i also think it would be a very different way to see the countryside

hmmm maybe one day when i am big i will have money for that

for now i am preparing to go to the usa,norway, and sweden for 5 weeks

the visa process is so lame for us south africans

but i am sure it will all be worth it when i am finally there

i have so much to look forward to

friends wedding, 4th july, new york, jazz, friends, food,shopping!

my recent status as a "lady of leisure" has enabled me to spend this wednesday morning in the kitchen. i baked this delicious cinnamon sugar pull-apart bread that i found on "joy the baker's" blog. wow. so delicious. perfect for a tea-drinking,book-reading, afternoon!

today has been a different kind of day for me. lots has changed. i lost my job. not for any fault of my own. that made me sad. then angry. it made me fight with my boyfriend, my parents, myself. now i am sitting back and examining the pieces. choosing which ones to pick up and fix. which ones are better left on the floor. this picture really woke me up to the reality of what life is. it's all about sitting on day's like this and remembering the better ones, the ones that were before, and the ones still to come. it's not just about looking down, but looking around as well. i hope that tomorrow will be a better day, a different day, a day where i get even more than exactly what i want.

I don't know about you but this show makes me really happy. It's storyline and character development might be pathetic and cheesy, but the singing just makes me want to smile!

Julia Roberts is one amazing person. Beautiful, yet down to earth. She is a real woman. I would love to have lunch with her. I found these pictures of her that were taken in 1992. Such a pretty girl!

Wow I am really enjoying this bands music at the moment. Its so upbeat and funny and puts me in a jiving kind of mood! Much better than the "add to your depression and make you jump off a cliff" James Blunt playing on the radio. I think "Henrietta" is my favourite song, but i am open to argument. It made me smile because it reminded me of when my dad, brothers and I all played a monopoly game that lasted 5 days. We were camping somewhere in France, my mom sat and drank tea, and we all strategised our child-sized minds to breaking point. I remember falling asleep clutching wads of monopoly money as though my life depended upon it.

I am really loving the colour blue today. Perhaps its the pretty blue sky and sea that are filling my summer days. Or maybe it's this lovely picture I found on the sartorialist. This girl is so cute and carefree. Perfect! I have also been thinking of gingers a lot because my sister-in-law is one, and is pregnant with a baby girl. We all keep wondering who she is going to come out looking like. I think a ginger will be adorable!
